Iki Ikarus from Dutch Touch has just released a new skinline called Jolie Pip. It comes in two lovely tones and it anticipates the long awaited release of the new skin, Jolie. Jolie Pip has 7 outstanding, bright makeups with two brows options, and can be worn with or without freckles.
Iki in the past couple of months has outdone herself and put out 3 different skinlines, one better than the other. I couldn’t miss this one either!

I really love this little dress called Petite by *Linc*. What I like mostly about it is that it’s versatile, it’s definitely easy to mix and match. Petite comes in 11 different colours and textures, enough to go please any taste, and it can be worn with or without the garter.

Look of the day

I can’t believe at how lazy I have been with my blog lately! I promise to catch up with it a bit in the next few days, and while I take some pics here’s a look for today.

It’s a mix and match of free things and nice things and new things I got in the past week. My inventory is once again out of control, and I’ve been experimenting with different things.

This hairstyle is a fantastic freebie from Truth called Jess, it comes in every colour available and it is really amazing, it has instantly become one of my top 10 favourites!

The lovely necklace is Jupiter by Swallowtail, bracelets are a great subscribo gift from Royal Blue, and they come in 3 different shades. The top is by Whippet & Buck, it is so versatile and definitely something I would wear in RL so I had to grab it! The skirt is Berlin, an amazing and very flowy creation by Leezu, it comes in many other colours but I was missing a skirt like this in black, it has little white polka dots and is very very feminine.

Pixel Mode was having a 50L sales on everything this weekend, I must thank Voshie for the tip, I had never been to this store before and I was really surprised when I found amazing shoes, dresses…I filled my inventory with great things, the boots I am wearing here are Danielle, they come in so many fashionable colours and are definitely worth a try!

Through the looking glass.

Preface: I love glasses, especially big black glasses, both in RL and in SL. I like thick black frames and dark dark lenses so when I see a pair of glasses that correspond to these criteria, it is very hard for me not to purchase said item.
At the moment I am living on a budget, both RL and SL, the shitty economy is not helping me either, so I have to carefully think about what I spend on, in either world. I am not saying I am dirt poor but I want to be more considerate if I can.

So, last night after reading a blogpost I follow a teleport and go to this store. It’s a store I don’t think I have been to before, I look around and on a counter I see a pair of sunglasses. They have my name written on it. They cost 175L. It’s not much but it’s not little for me either these days. I try to distract myself, convincing myself not to get them, after all they don’t even have a demo, what if they are not good? I hate it when designers don’t put out demos for sunglasses…

After a lot of walking back and forth I do decide to get them, after all it’s all 3 shades in the pack!

So I wear them and to my great disappointment i get this that I am showing here below:

See? The thing is that I spent money that I don’t have for this, and what really irked me is that no later than a couple of weeks ago I bought some sunglasses for half the price (90L to be exact), that are sculpted AND have a hud that lets you change texture of frame and lenses. Such glasses are shown here below:

Is it me? Am I too naive? Or was I wrong expecting something better than this? I could have done  something like this myself, and it would have cost me 20L .

Weird things happen on SL

When you thought that the story of the Fashion IN-Look institute couldn’t get any weirder…well yesterday I received an IM from Andrzej Makarov himself. At first I did not recognize him but after a minute or so I realized who he was and started playing stupid.
He smells fishy a million miles away and I wonder what he’s up to. My friend who will remain unnamed here told me that Andrzej was asking him how to build a runway…wasnt’ he a superbuilder? I teleported to the spot and all I found was a runway and some empty buildings…

First Post!

I wasn’t really sure whether or not to start a blog, there are so many great ones out there, I am sure another one isn’t really necessary. But I am home for the holidays, I have so many pictures on my computer drive, so why not give it a try?
What I would like to do is something a bit different, that is to mix Fashion with Music and cool places to visit in Second Life.

Now, if you know me you know that I wear a lot of black, in Second Life just like in my Real Life.
I also like morbid stuff, cemeteries and things like that, so here’s the explanation to the skulls and bones belt and shirt.

I mixed together a bunch of clothes from different designers, all of them are among my favourites.
The collar is vintage Kyoot Army, something I have worn so much but never tires me, the same goes for the belt.
The shirt is from Schadenfreude and is something I had to buy in all colours because it is so greatly made and it mixes so well with many things.

The beautifully sculpted arm warmers are by Maitreya, another must-have that comes in any colour that you can think of.
The hair is from Gritty Kitty, this hairstyle was originally meant for boys, but I like to experiment and it looks like it turned out to be a great cut for girls too!
The skin I am wearing is London by Minnu. I hardly wear anything else these days because I feel it is really “me”.

Last but not least pants and shoes.
Pants are from Sweetest Goodbye, and in my personal opinion are one of the best leather pants you can find out there, the shadings are just perfect!
The shoes are Digit Darkes’ Messina. Messina is a town in Sicily, Italy, and I wonder whether Digit’s took inspiration on the colours of the shoes by the fantastic flowers you can find on this beautiful island. They are too precious!

All the pictures have been taken in a really cute and very detailed beauty salon at Dollz Town Sim. Unfortunately you can’t rez in there but there are plenty of poseballs around to have fun with, and look at the lovely colours!

As the theme for this post other than pink and black is bones, here’s today’s musical suggestion for you, it’s one of my favourite bands, Editors, with the song Bones.
